COAL COMMISSION
REPORT CONCLUDED
(Australian Press Association)
(Received this day at. 9.25 b.m.) SYDNEY, September 23.
The findings of the Royal Commission on average .profits of coal owners has been handed to the Government, it is believed the report fixes the profit at something under 2s 2d per ton, thus practically substantiating the Government’s original claim that tli • owners were making about two shillings. If the last proposition put up by the miners at the time this inquiry was instituted, still stood, the men under its j terms would now have to submit to a wage cut of lOd per ton.
