FERRY COLLISION

LUCKY ESCAPE FOR PASSENGERS. (Australian Press Association) SYDNEY, Sept. 22. The ferry steamer Kuramia, whilst en route from Circular Quay, Sydney, to McMahon’s Point, collided with the ferry steamer Koree, which was coming to the quay. The collision took place under the southern end of the new Harbour Bridge, off Dawes Point. Both of the vessel carried many passengers, who became .excited when the crash seemed unavoidable. The Korea was struck amidships and her bulwarks were’ ripped. She was so heavily listed by the impact that it seemed impossible that she would right herself, but she did so, and she finished the trip. No one was injured. ,
