Commenting on this section, Dr Jarman said that this, of course, was a combined effort, and the work of the three performers together whs judged. Ensemble was what lie had looked for. Miss lucker had a voice of very pleasing quality, nicely controlled. The violin obligato was delightfully played-, and was never either obtrusive or unduly restrained. Her singing was very charming with very pleasant control oi nuances. In the case of Miss Sligo, the violin obligato would have been more effective consordini, though it was very satisfactory. Her vocal quality was very pleasing and convincing in interpretiion. • The violin was a little too loud in the final. Miss Bald displayed delightful vocal quality, and sang with artistic insight. The violin and piano were, however, too much in evidence.
