NORDON CUP. DANXEVIRKE, Sept. 18. The final representative men’s hockey challenge game for the Nordon Cup was played this afternoon in a downpour of rain between Dnnnevirke (holders) and Hastings (challengers), and resulted in' an easy win for the former by o goals to 1. The score at half-time was I—o in favour of the holders. Dannevirke excelled in all departments, a-Kliougli t*lic visitors pressed towards the end of the game. Goals for tile winners were notched by J. N. Robinson (2), J. Smith (2), and W. Mclntosh, while the'visitors’ only score was got by G. McNabb. Dannevirke have held the cup since 1927, when they wrested it from Wnirarapa. Since then they have successfully defended the cup on nine occasions, including four of this season. They drew with Taranaki, and defeated Foilding, Wairarnpa, and Hastings.
