RAILWAY FATALITY

YOUNG MAN K.UN OYER. (By Telegraph—Per Press Association.) I-lAWERA, Sept. 19. While crossing Hawera railway yards at six o’clock this evening, Samuel Brown, aged 19, a cadet at the railway goods office, jumped between standing wagons, and was struck and knocked beneath the wheels of the front truck of a number that were being shunted with an engine in the rear. Brown suffered terrible injuries, Including the severance of both legs. He died within half an hour, while being taken to the hospital by the ambulance. His parents reside at Dunedin.
