The Director of the Decoration’s Bureau, Amaoka, has been remanded in custody. The latest arrest is the movie king, Yokota, who is accused of making a friendly purchase of a decoration from Ama'oka. The scandal is connected chiefly with the Coronation decorations and the corruption has involved huge sums of money at a time when the public were exhorted to practise the strictest economy for the restoration of the trade balance.
