disrespectful language. a letter was received by the Onehunsrn Borough Council from the Mount Roskill Road Board asking the Council to make an annual grant for the maintenance of Hillsboro’ Road leading to the Onelmnga cemetery there. Mr A Tonkin said he was ouite willing to meet the Mount Roskill Road Board to discuss the subject, but he strongly resented the language used bv a member of the Road Board when he spoke ol the members of the Onelmnga Borough Council having a “ hide like a rhinoceros.” Neighbours should speak of each other in respectful language. He moved that the council express its strong disapproval of the language complained of. The Mayor, Mr E. Morton, agreed with Mr Tonkin, but did not second the resolution. The situation was saved by Mr Vella moving that the letter be considered in committee after the meeting, and this was carried, with Mr Tonkin’s approval.
