GAS COOKING

The gas cooking demonstrations, which have been conducted during the winter months, Ifortnightly, at the Soldiers’ Hall,- concluded yesterday in the presence of a fair attendance. Mrs Heinz prepared several dishes, the cooking being excellent, and all products were disposed of readily. Afternoon tea was served to the visitors, and the kindness of several ladies in assisting is appreciated. Although the public demonstrations are concluded for the present, it is intended to give private demonstrations to those desiring instruction or information. Mrs Heinz will be available to visit houses and give; practical instruction where required. Arrangements for personal visits can be made by ringing Telephone 295. The Hokitika Gas Coy has now stocked all the latest models in gas cookers, and these are on view at Mr W. H. Shannon’s, Revell Street. The very latest type has a hot water service attached, also a destructor. Those building or who intend installing gas cooking appliances, should inspect the range of gas stoves, which will suit all prices. The gas cookers (ns also other gas appliances) may be purchased- on the time-payment system, gas cooking is having a- wonderful vopie everywhere because of ! the efficiency and economy to say nothing of the labour-saving advantages! -
