AUSTRALIAN, LEAGUE TEAM. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyrighth LONDON, September 17. The “ Yorkshire ' Observer,” referring to the Batley-Australian Rugby League match, pointedly comments on the ordering off the field of the scrum half-backs, Wood and Kadll, the latter being the life and soul of the game, and it states decision simply shocked everybody. The paper adds that the referee previously saw six players, in the respective front rows, deliberately kicking at each other in a stand-up fracas. None were sent off. It asks when should a referee take action? To have dismissed the six forwards was quite within the referee’s power, but in doing so he would have spoiled the match. LEAGUE FOOTBALL.
