MOTOR TRAGEDY

COUPLE KILLED

AUCKLAND, Sept. 15

(Mrs Eileen Parkinson, aged 27, of Auckland, and Alfred Ernest Clark, of Otahuhu, received fatal injuries when a motor car, driven by H. Biddulph, of Otahuhu, struck a telegraph pole on the side of the road when proceeding to the city on Saturday night. Clark .sustained grave head injuries and was killed outright. Eileen Parkinson received a fractured skull and she died at tlje hospital. The side of the car was torn out. Two occupants of the front seat escaped injury.
