ADDINGTON STOCK SALE.

At the Addington live" stock sale today there was an improvement in some lines.
Beef.—There, was a small yarding of beef, and the market was firmer owing to the short supply. The top price for bullocks was £29 12s. Gd, for cows £22 2s Gd, and for heifers £22 12s 6d. Values per 1001 b were: Heavy steer beef 61s, prime handy weight beef Ggs, prime 58s to 60s, medium 50s to 575, best, heifers 575" to 635, medium 54s to 56s 6d, otbo.s from 48s, best cows 49s to 555, extra prime to 635, medium 44s to 47s 6d, light 40s to 435, old and unfinished to 375.
Fat Sheep.—There was a fair entry of fat sheep, mostly unfinished consignments. Good iprime butchers’ sorts sold up to recent values. Plainer sorts were irregular. Extra prime heavy wethers sold to 52s 6d, heavy prime 40s to 455, prime 35s to 395, medium 30s to 345; others from 255. Heavy prime ewes sold from 37s to 42s 3d, prime ewes 31s to 365, medium, 25s to 30s, plain from 20s. Store Sheen.—There was a small yarding of store sheep, mostly of nondescript lots, and dragging sale. Pigs.—There was a small yarding of fat pigs, and keen competition, the market being firmer". ' Choppers sold from £3 10s to £7 8s 6d, light bacon £3 10s 6d to £4, heavy baconers £4 10s to £5 4s 6d, the average price being 7d to 7-R1 per lb. Light pork sold 34s to 555, heavy 57s 6d to 6/* 6d, tho average price being 8d fo 9Jd per lb.
