NURSE DISAPPEARS
REPORTED TO BE IN N.Z,

SYDNEY, September 10. _ Nurse Iris Mackiehan, who has been missing since August Bth., and for whom the police have conducted an exhaustive search, is reported to be in Auckland.
Her father, who is now in Sydney, has received a letter from his daughter bearing an Auckland postmark. Nurse Mackiehan came from Queensland to sit for an examination in Sydney. On her arrival here she had sent a telegram to her parents, notifying them of her arrival. She drew money from a bank, and has not been seen since.
POLICE WITHOUT INFORMATION'. AUCKLAND, September 10. With regard to Nurse Mackiehan, who is referred to in a cablegram from Sydney, Inspector Hollis, who is in charge of the Auckland Central Police District, and of the Detective' Branch, stated to-night that the fact that the missing nurse was reported to be in Auckland had not been officially brought under the notice of the Auckland police. "o instructions about -Viiss Mackiehan had been received locally, and no details about her had been made available.
