WEST INDIES SUGAR. COMMISION APPOINTED. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, September 6. The Colonial Secretary has now completed the appointment of a Commission to investigate and report upon the state of the sugar industry in the West indies and British Guiana. The Commissioners are Lord Olivier, whose acceptance of the position of chairman was announced some time ago, and Mr 1). M. Semple, with Mr Sydney Caine, of the Colonial Office, as secretary. The Commission will leave England on October oth for Barbadoes, whence it will proceed to the Leeward Islands, Trinidad, British Guiana, and Jamaica. Lord Olivier was formerly Governor of Jamaica, and was Secretary lor India in the Labour Government of 1924.
