NAVAL NEGOTIATIONS. A' DEADLOCK REACHED. United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) (Received this dny at 11 a.m.) WASHINGTON, September 9. British and American naval negotiations have reached at least a temporary deadlock on the cruiser question. This same obstacle broke up the 1927 Geneva Conference, and frustrated attempts to limit auxiliary tonnage, when the Washington capital ship limitation treaty was written in 1922. Counter proposals to Britain’s latest suggestions for bridging the gulf that divides the two nations in cruiser tonnage issues are now under preparation. RREMIER SWORN IN. VANCOUVER, Sept. 9. A Regina message states that the new Co-operative Cabinet Premier, Mr J. T. M. Anderson, was sworn in today.
