HIGHWAYS FUNDS
AIOTOR CYCLISTS PROTEST. (By Telegraph—Press Association). INVERCARGILL, September 6. At the annual meeting of the Southland Motor Cycle Club, this, evening, the following resolution was carried unanimously:— That this meeting of members of the Southland Motor Cycle Club views with great apprehension the proposal of the Prime Alinister to withhold annual grants of £200,000 and £35,000 to the Highways Fund, and to -charge, the Highways Board interest; and enters a most emphatic protest against such proposed depletion of moneys available for the roads of the Dominion.
