JUVENILE BALL
ANOTHER GREAT SUCCESS.
There was another very largo attendance at the Drill Shed last evening when the juvenile fancy dress ball took place. A large number of juveniles were in fancy dress and. the scene was a very animated one - throughout. The judges of the fancy dresses (Dr and -Mrs Hayes and Mr and Mrs Radford) had a difficult task in making a selection, their awards being as follows: Best .Boy—-Tommy . Chinn (Buffalo BiH). .; 4 . ’ : Best Girl-4-Sylvia Sanders (Little Old Woman)..
Other awards made were—Cranston Lewis (Mexican), 'Betty Delbridge (Dr u mine]' 'Boy), Thelma Archer (Gollywog),: Valerie Nightingale (Fairy), Ngaire'Guthrie (Jester),'Jimmy Breeze (Dutch Boy), Edna Woolhouse (Shepherdess), Betty Cook)..(Gipsy), Pauline Lewis .(Early Victorian). A’> number ofi consolatioiyprizeS.:were also awarded. The had a big contract in supplying supper but'they, had a very plentiful supply ,’of edibles, and one and all were satisfied, the gathering being a distinct success.
