WEST COAST RUGBY UNION.
The weekly meeting was held at Greymouth last evening. .Mr Williams, referee of the representative match, Coast v. Buller, reported on the excellence of the game, remarking same was a bright exhibition of the code.
Arrangements in connection with the Canterbury v. Coast match next Wednesday were made as follows : —Gate charges to be 2s and Is; West Coast team to assemble at Park Hotel at 2 p.m., under managership of Mr T. P. Ryan. It was decided the Secretary submit the names .of the following referees to the Canterbury manager for selection: Messrs E. Heenan, F. Cutbush, W. Williams, and A. Winchester.
The Nelson Union wired asking the Union to accept Wednesday, 25th September, for the match at Greymouth, and it was decided to accept a match on that date, but to write and ask the Nelson Union if they would be prepared, if requested later, to play such a match in Hokitika, instead of Greymouth.
