TAMAHINE HELD UP

BY DEFECT IN MACHINERY.

When the Tamhine was about to leave for Picton yesterday, a defect was found in the machinery and the Union Coy. recalled, by wireless, the Ngaio, which bad left previously for Nelson. The'.Ngaio went to, Picton instead of the Tariiahine and will con- ! tinue in the Tunning till Monday when it is expected the Tamahine will resume.
