Telegraph—Copyright). (Received this day at 12.25. p.m.j LONDON, Sept.. 2.

An extraordinary trans-Atlantic voyage ended in tragedy. Dr Cabeller, accompanied by a sailor, Calve, set out from New York on 2lst. July in a 12-ton yacht, bearing greetings from women of Port Rico to women of Spain. After a hazardous crossing the yacht arirved in Gibraltar and thence sailed to the Spanish coast.

In the course of a quarrel, it is alleged 1 that Calve drew a knife and Cabeller fired a revolver in self defence. Calve fell overboard and disappeared. Cabeller was arrested at Seville.

The only evidence was that of a stowaway, Lopez, who says Calve was jealous of the laudations accorded to Cabeller. CABELLER’S STORY. ! (Received this day at 1.0 p.m.) LONDON Sept. 2. Cabeller stated that when he saw Calve disappear, he had no regrets, for it meant a perverse bandit, unfit to, live, had gone for ever. Eventually he would have attacked Lopez ■ or myself. He was only interested in getting control of the sloop and money aboard. He was. constantly menacing our lives. I was obliged to sleep with a finger op tne revolver trigger. He tried to run the sl 'op ashore at Azores but I seized the wheel.
