The.N.Z. ladies' hockey tourney was continued to-uay in fine weather, and belfore a good attendance. Results: —
SECTION A
Poverty Bay A beat Auckland A by three goals to two. Ruahine beat Bush by six goals to nil.
Southland beat Rotorua by five goals to nil.
B SECTION
Hawke’s Bay beat Eastern Southland by five goals to two. Auckland B beat Poverty Bay B by two goals to one. . • . ' Canterbury beat Wairarapa by'eleven goals to nii. ■ /
• After two days’ play, tlie leaders are:—Section A:'Poverty Bay A and ltuahine two wins, Southland one win. and one game to play. Section B: Canterbury two wins, Wellington . one win, and one game to play. ’ At a meeting of . the Executive of the N.Z. Ladies’. Hockey Association to-night, a letter ; was received from Mr Thompson (Wanganui), resigning as one of the selectors of the N.Z. team for Africa. Mr R. Surgenor (Invercargill) was appointed. At a meeting of the Tournament Committee, Mr R. Scott. (Wellington) withdrew from the North Island Selection Committee for the inter-Island match. Airs Dobson (Dannevirke) was appointed.
