Carl Petersen got in touch with the big airsliip while the latter was -over Bellefonte .'(Pennsylvania), rind lie talked for some, time to Frourid, one of the Zeppelin’s operators. Petersen first heard the Zeppelin operator trying to get; New York and in turn Petersen called Sari Francisco and notified a Station there that, the Zeppelin wished to talk to New Yorkon a certain wave length. Then Petersen turned back on the Zeppelwi, and picked up the airship! immediately. It was one of the longest return conversations ever held.

WILKINS’ PLANS. NOW GOING TO ANTARCTIC. NEW YORK, August 29. After the Graf Zeppelin landed, Sir H. Wilkins, on disembarking; stated.: “It was a very fine trip." T liked 0 the starting 'better than’the getting off. but I am glad it is over, and 1 con start my own work now. I will leave in three weeks, and I expect to be with- Commander Byrd at the South Polar Sea; but I will go Iback again in April in time to join the Zeppelin on its hop to the North Polei I am doing that trip, however, as a private person, and not in'any I official capacity.” ; WILKINS MARRIED. (Received this day at’ll a.m.) ; NEW YORK,,.. Aug. 30. At Cleveland, Sir H. Wilkins married Susanne Bennett late to day. Tlie ceremony was conducted by a Justice of the Peace. Myron J. Penty Wilkins and Miss Bennett met in New York and went to Cleveland yesterday. ’. 1
