ADDINGTON STOCK SALE.
CHRISTCHURCH, August 28.
Fat Cattle.—There was a smaller yarding of fat cattle, and a good sound sale. Extra prime heavy bullocks sold £22 to £24 10s, prime £2O to £22, medium £l7 10s to £l9 15s,' light £ls to £l7 ss, plain £l4 to £ls 15s, heavy prime heifers £ls to £l6 10s, prime £l4 to £ls 15s, medium £ll 10s to £l4 10«, light £9 10s to £l2, heavy'cows £l3 10s to £ls 10s, prime £l2 10s to £ls, medium £ll to £l3 ss, others from £8 ss. Fat Sheep.—There was a big entry of fat sheep. The market was irregular, with an easing tendency. Extra heavy wethers sold 45s to 51s, prime heavy 40s to 445, prime 34s to 395, medium 30s to 335, light from 21s; extra heavy prime ewes 38s to 435, prime heavy 34s to 375, prime 29s to 335, medium 24s to 28s, light 18s to 2?«.
Store Sheep.—There was a medium entry of store sheep, principally in small lots, and a dragging sale.
Pigs.—There was a large entry of porkers, and a harder sale, baconers selling freely. Choppers sold £3 10s to £5 18s 6d,' light bacon £3 10s to £4, heavy bacon £4 5s to £4 10s, extra heavy to £5: average 6d to 7<t per lb. Light pork sold £2 5s to £2 14s, heavy £2 16s to £3 6s 6d, average Sd to 9d per lb. There was a large entry of store pigs and the market was firm.
