A definite move is aifoot to arrange for an Imperial conference of business men on the eve of the Imperial Conference next year. Sir Gilbert Vyle is organising a meeting of a preparatory committee fully representative ■ of British commercial interests, after which it is expected to be possible to take initial steps for focussing opinion on Empire trade. Banks will be invited to co-cperate in the discussions. •
The “Yorkshire Post” flays: It is hoped similar steps will be taken in Australia, New Zealand, Canada and South Africa, after which the organisers will invite Dominion business men to London and meet 'before the Imperial Conference to thrasr out an Empire programme of trade commerce.
