ZEPPELIN’S FLIGHT

It was a ticklish operation, with few inches ■of clearance. Thousands rushed the ground, toppling over armed marines.. Passengers and customs officers in the hangar emerged by a side door, avoiding the crowd. Eckener, and Schiller were ovationed and swept into a marquee, where the reception becoming chaotic, Eckener was lifted on'a table and bombarded with flashlights:. A band played the “ Deutschland, ’4 Germans joining in. The master of communications . and other distinguished persons were unable to reach Eckener, who stayed nightlong in the airship. , He told a “ Sun ” interviewer that the flight was trouble-free, with perfect weather. A ZEPPELIN SERVICE. i (Received.this day at 11.25. a.m.) BERLIN, August 20. The Graf Zeppelin’s successful flight has hastened the realisation of the establishment of a regular' weekly service, necessitating the construction of three new Zeppelins, between Berlin, Leningrad, Harbin and the ar East.
