CALLOUS WORKMEN

DIGGING UP COFFINS. (Australian Press Association). f this day at 11 a.m.; SYDNEY, Aug. 14. Seven more coffins, containing the remains of some of Sydney’s pioneers, were dug up by workmen at the Town Hall. They were thrown into lorries and dumped with other refuse at several tips. One coffin was cut in half, a portion of which has been dumped and the other half is still buried. Some workmen stood in the coffins as they, delved in the surrounding clay.
