FIRE ON STRIKERS. (By Telegraph—Pfess "Association), j APIA, Aug. 12. \ , There - was a conflict on- Sunday bcj tween .250 coolies, who were on strike and the police. They fired two shots in the air. ! Then the police fired several revolver shots, fn self defence, and there were fourteen coolie casualties, four of the coolies' being' wounded by the bullets' one of them seriously.. The remaind-j er (ten) were injured by batons. ■ Some Samoan and European police were slightly injured by stones.
