FOUND DEAD
A Chinaman named Lock Tun, aged 84 years, who.had Ibeen residing
n Beach Street, was found dead yes;erday on a track up Waimea Creek.
It appears that deceased left Hokitika on Monday by train 'for Golds-hol-ougli to gather native herbs for medicine, intending to return that
night. As he did not return some oompatriots went out yesterday morning to search for him and found him dead on a track up Waimea Creek. The Police were advised and the body was brought in to the Morgue at Hokitika. Tlie Coroner was 'advised, and it was decided tiiat no inquest was necessary.
