NEW YORK, August 11. News from Dallas (Texas) states that thirteen .persons were killed when a train struck a truck carrying u picnic party at a grade crossing. News from• Sacramento (California) states that six Chinese, while returning from a wedding, were burned to death in an automobile collision. A MAD STUNT. NEW YORK, August 13. A Chicago message states Jack Cope a veteran, is the creator of a new record for a delayed drop. Going to fifteen thousand feet altitude, lie stepped off a plane and dropped thirteen thousand feet before lie released the parachute cord. ’Hie terrific strain almost wrecked the parachute but Cope managed to land safely.
