AT MELBOURNE. FOURSOME RESULTS. (Australian Pr.ess Association) MELBOURNE, Aug. 9. The foursome golf championship played at the Commonwealth Links to-day over 36 holes, was won by A. Fowier and K. Withers, whose first round was 18, and their total 157. The scores of Morpeth and Horton were: First round 80, total 163; Ross and Black, first round 89, total 177; Ranger and Seiffcrt, first round ()0. The Kirk- >. iudeyer Cup contest commences to-morrow ‘at the Metropolitan Links. The Victorian team is considered formidable. It comprises: A. Russell, A. Hancock, F. Blute and M Ryan. Unfortunately Whitton is HI. The Australian press applaud Morpeth’s victory and especially in leaving the cup attached to the Championship at the Commonwealth Links.
