The Christchurch Hunt Club meeting was held to-day, the weather being perfect. The attendance was good, and the course in fair order. The totalisator registered £13,879, compared with £14,025 last'year. Results:— Kennels Hurdle Handicap.—(l) Gay Jim 1, (4) Exide 2, (2) Barrington 3. Won by six lengths; eight lengths. Time 3.3 2-5. Lawford Steeplechase.—(3) Sea .Boy 1, (2) Silver Light 2. Won by twelve lengths. Time 4.3 2-5. Longbeach Hurdles.-—:(3) Lancer 1, (7) Kawini 2, (5) Perle de Leon 3. Won by half a length; three . Time 3.4 2-5. ) Maiden Stakes.—Cl) Leader 1. (3) Desert Song 2, Captivate 3. Won by a length ; two lengths. Time 1.4. Hornby Steeplechase. Ronald 1, (4) Fabriano 2, (2) King’s Guard 3. Two lengths each way. Tune 2.16 1-5. Flying Hack Handicap.—(l2) Hounslof 1, (1) Red Boa 2, (3) Honeycomb 3. Won by a long neck; two lengths, nine 1.1 2-5. WARWICK FARM RACES. SYDNEY, August 4. The Warwick Farm races were run in fine weather, but the course was a bit heavy. Aussie’s defeat after a thrilling finish caused a sensation. Results:— Denham ‘ Handicap.—Killarney 8.13 1, Aussie 9.13 2, Shankara 8.11 3. Three-quarters of a length each way. Time 1.13. . .■ y ,

The Australian Hurdles resulted.— Moss Trooper 9.10 1, Longlands 10.5 ,2, Scud Along 9.0 3. Won by five lengths; four lengths. Time 6.16.
