COMMERCIAL ITEMS
Messrs M. Houston and Co report:— We held a very successful clearing-sale of Mr H. H. Monk’s dairy herd at his farm at Koiterangi on Wednesday last, in the presence of a large attendance of buyers from all parts of the district. Competition was keen for each line offered, and the following sales were made:— 1 dairy cow at 14jJ guineas, 1 heifer, at 1 at lljgns., 1 cow at 11£ gns., 1 at llgns., 1 heifer at Bfgns., 1 cow at 12-Jgns., 1 at 12 ; (gns., 1 at 10A gns., 1 at 12$gns., 1 heifer at 9fgns., 1 cow at 13 gns., 1 heifer at 9£gns., 1 at 13gns., 1 cow at 13igns., 1 at 12£ gns., 1 at llgns., 1 at 9sgns., 1 at £ll. Five fat wethers at 355, 11 hoggets at 26s Alfa Laval separator £l4, 1 boar £6. 1 sow at £2 10s, 8 weaner pigs at 19s, 1 vat 16s. On account of J. Dinunick’s estate 14 owe lambs at 325, 18 wether lambs at 255, 36 breeding ewes at 38s, 1 aged ram at 10s; oh account of Mr A. Dimmick 1 dairy cow at £l2, 1 at £9 ss, 1 at £ll’lOs, 1 at £lO ss, 1 at £lO 7s 6d. The farm property of 50 acres at Koiterangi known as R. Cropp’s was also offered under the hammer, and after * spirited competition was knocked down to Mr Wm, Bradley, of Arnhura, at £l4 per acre.
