i ARAHURA STOCK SALE. W.’ JEFFRIES AND CO’S REPORT. At Monday’s fixture in the. above yards Messrs W. Jeffries and Co. submitted an entry 'of 45 head of fat cattle to a lull attendance of buyers. The quality of the yarding, was exceptionally good and prices were distinctly in; advance off the previous sales. Medium-weight quality steers were in keen demand while heavier sorts moved up £1 to £1 10s per head. The top price of £l9 for two bullocks was obtained by Mr W. Diedrich, his entry being a first-class one.
We sold as follows:—For W.,F. Diedrich 2 bullocks at £l9, 1 at £lB 15.4, 2 at £lB, 1 at £l7 10s, 2 at £1.7 2 at £l6 10s-, 2 at £ls ss, 2 at £ls 17$ fid, 2 at £l6 2s 6xl, '2 at £ls 15s, 1 tow at £l2 15s, 1 at £ll 17s 6d, 2 heifers at £lO 7s 6d. And privately, a truck of 8 bullocks at £l7 10s. For a client 2 cow at £lO 10s. For M. Keenan' 3 bullocks at £l3 2s 6d, 2 at £l2 15s, 2 at £l2 10s, 3 at £l2, 2 heifers at £l2, 1 cow at £lO 2s 6d.
