RUSSIAN ’PLANE CRASHES. WHILE PROCEEDING TO LONDON. United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) s> ' LONDON, July 30. The flight of the Russian aeroplane “ Wings of Soviet,” which is shrouded in mystery, has ended in disaster, the ’plane having crashed, and completely wrecked in France. The crew arc uninjured. The machine was touring European capitals, when it was announced from Moscow that in response to an invitation from the Royal Aero Club “Wings of Soviet ” was visiting London. The Aero Club denied it diad extended an invitation. Neither the Air nor the Foreign Ministers had any information a 1 out it. Nevertheless the ’plane af'.er visiting Rome proceeded to Marseilles and was flying to London when it crashed at Nevers. RECORD AIR FLY. NEW YORK, July 30. The airplane, St. Louis Robin has been up 413 hours at noon. The sponsor of the flight, Robertson, called the fliers down, hut there was no response. SOVIET ’PLANE ARRIVES. (Received this dnv at 11.25. a.m.) LONDON, July 30. The ’plane, “Wings of the Soviet” has been repaired and arrived at Croydon. Jt is the first Russian ’plane to land in England since the war. It was greeted with Russian cheers by fellow countrymen.
