The Auckland Provincial Amateur Boxing Championships were decided to-night at the Town Hall in the presence'or a record attendance. The following were the winners in the respective classes: — Flyweight: F. Pearcey (holder). Bantamweight": R. Purdie. Lightweight: C. Craig (Te Awannitu). Featherweight': H. Johns. Welterweight: C. McKnight. Middleweight: M. O’Brien. Light-heavvweight: P. McCarthy (holder). Heavyweight: P. McCarthy (holder). ’Pearcey and McCarthy were the only two to defend their titles.
