At Detroit, Jackie Fields (Chicago) won the world welterweight championship on Thursday night, irom Joe Dundoo on a foul in the second round of a scheduled fifteen round bout. Dundee was floored twice in the second round. SOUTHLAND TOURNEY. INVERCARGILL, July 26. The ,Sonthlnd TSoxin'g Association Championship Tournament was held this evening in the Municipal I heatre. which was crowded. The bouts provided some thrilling contests, notably in the middle-weight class. The title winners were as follows: —Featherweight,’ V. Leslie; lightweight, W. Jack; welterweight, L. Adams;- middleweight, R. Nicliol.
