THIRST TRAGEDY

LOST IN DESERT. (United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright). (Received this dav at 8.30. a.m.) NEW YORK, July 26. A San Francisco message states a tragedy of thirst was revealed as searchers followed the zig-zag trail of footprints in a California desert near Niland, until they came upon the bodies of six people sprawled face downwards in the sand. These had- been passengers in a motor car which had been found by a search party. Under the car itself was the body of the seventh passenger. He had crawled under the vehicle to seek relief from the burning temperature, 105 degrees.
