• l • .. • I'/ 1 . ; ■ MOST SEVERE EVER. RECORDED. (Australian Press Association.) SYDNEY, July 24. The major porion of New South Wales is experiencing one of the most severe droughts ever recorded. There is not a blade of grass for hundreds of miles in the western divisions, and stock is being kept alive by hand feeding. The intense cold is killing sheep and cattle. The wheat farmers are everywhere in dire straits and are being forced to ask the Government for help to tide them . ever the difficult period. The Government is now considering a scheme for the general relief of needy farmers and pastoralists.
