Herr Mueller, the German Chancellor, has been stricken with a sudden illness, inflammation of the bladder, requiring an operation, which has passed off satisfactorily, but his condition is nevertheless serious. (Received this day at 8 a.m.) BERLIN, July 22. Local peritonitis supervened alter a gallstone operation and Chancellor Mueller's condition is serious.
