A TIMELY DISCOVERY
EXPLOSIVE IN COAL

A timely discovery by an employee of' the .Sumner Gas Works of a plug of explosive in a load of coal prevented a probable disaster. When found it was still in the paper wrapping supplied at the factory. Though it measured five inches long it was not noticed at the coal yards.
