The Christchurch Presbytery to-day carried a .resolution which declared, inter alia, “that, in view of die admission that the penalties imposed upon the two Auckland divinity su.dents, Richards and Miller, rest upon an unduly harsh interpretation ol the Act, the Governor-General he respectfully approached with a view to die exercise of His prerogatives in reviewing the sentences.’'
