Bulls and Bears battled throughout the session at the Chicago Wheat Pit, where tremendous excitement prevailed concerning world-wide weather reports, and the transactions totalled millions of bushqls.' On receipt of each new fragment of information reports indicated that Canadian and United States spring wheat outlook had not changed, while Continental high temperatures provided a basis ior a more bullish set of crop estimates. MR MacDONALD’S TOUR OF U.S.A. WASHINGTON, July 18. Mr Stimson, while emphasising that Mr MacDonald, would he cordially welcomed if and when he came to- the United States, stated that he had no information that the visit would come soon. U.S. COURT CASE. NEW YORK, July 18. A message from Reno states Jones took the witness stand after evidence of residence had been heard and gave his testimony 'closely following the complaints in the case (cabled 23rd April). The case is expected to finish on July 20th prior to which the Court must read a hundred pages /of depositions.
