The “Daily Mail’s” Johannesburg correspondent reports that Commander Frank Wild, who was a member of Captain Scott’s, Sir Ernest Shackleton’s, and Sir Douglas Mawson’s Antarctic expeditions, has spent the pastfour years in an unsuccessful cottongrowing enterprise, and his capital is gone. He is now a barman at the village of Goffer, the northernmost point in Zululand, and is earning four pounds per month. Drought ruined most of his fellow farmers, and Wild was the last to give up. GENEVA, July 17. When a number of amendments were introduced in the text of the Geneva convention, Mr Raymond (New Zealand) urged a greater measure of protection for aerial medical services.
