A REPORTED CRASH
SEARCH FOR AEROPLANE. (Australian Press Association) (Received this day at 10.30. a.m.) SYDNEY, July 16. A message from Broken Hill states that though the police and civilian search parties have been following tip emphatic stories told by several rcputablo persons that a ’plane, apparently m llames; was seen to nose dive into rough country near Hockley on Sunday, no trace of a machine has been found. Four persons in a car saw an aeroplane nose dive emitting black smoke. Strangely enough no plane was scheduled to arrive at Broken Hill and none bad left New South Wales or Victoria aerodromes, but it may have come from South Australia.
