GOVERNMENT DEPARTMENTS INTERVIEWED.

WELLINGTON, July 16
While in Wellington this week Mr D. J. Evans interviewed the officers of the Government Publicity Department, Railways Publicity Department and Tourist Department, respecting' co-operation in tile Westland advertising display at the Christchurch Winter Show next month.''
The three Departments agreed to 00-operato with Westland and provide space. The Railways Publicity Department, will supply two mechanical exhibits, and photographic enlargements, and posters will be supplied by tho otliei - Departments with literature for distribution. ,
The matter of cheap winter fares on southern motor trips in conjunction with the railways was discussed with the Department, and the matter is to he taken up with those concerned. The Department offers to prepare attractive ' booklets lhr free distribution, motor services arid Hotel proprietors to contribute half the cost, as is done in other cases, notably the Hermitage and Nfirtli Island resorts. Mr Evans is meeting Departmental officers on Wednesday to finalise the space provision for the 'Christchurch display.
