O’Brien, M.P., advising Board to make application to Government forthwith for any damage done to hospital buildings by earthquake.— Received. The Chairman reported that he had replied stating the Board did not desire to apply-for. any grant. Any damage done would be repaired out of capital expenditure. Air Davidson objected, to this action and moved that application be made to the Government for a grant covering the cost involved, by damage done to four chmineys, winch would have to oe renewed. He thought that as the money would not come from the relief fund Unit application should he made. The House Committee reported on a number of requirements hv the ATatron. —Received and approved. The Treasurer reported receipts £583 7s Id. nayiucnts £BB2 Os ll<l, debit balance £212 2s Bd.—Received. From Surgeon Superintendent, renorting patients in hospital on Juno Ist. numbered 44. Admitted during June. 33 males, 13 females ; total trent,cd. 61 males 29 females - 90. . Discharged cured 30 males. 17 females—died 1 female. Total' discharged. 30 males 1.8 females—s 4.
