At South Orange (New Jersey) Ox-ford-Cambridge tennis team gained a 4 to. 2 lead in the singles and 2 to 1 in the doubles against Princeton Williams team, out of twenty-one matches. Young defeated Richard Shonff of Williams University (5-3 6-3 but when paired with Avery of Cambridge in the doubles lost to Straehen and Thomas of Princeton 6-4 6-4.
