WELTiINGTON MEETING. By Telegraph, Per Press Association.] WELLINGTON, July 13. Wellington Club’s winter meeting concluded at Trentliam to-day in wet weather, the track being very heavy. The attendance was affected, and favourites had a disastrous day, there being several substantial dividends. A. ITobson, rider of the winner, Overhaul, in the Winter Hurdles, was suspended If or five weeks for Comical and Mister Camp. The tote put. through £57,821, the total for the meeting being £144,291, compared with £157,300 last year, a decrease of 013,009. MOOR FIELD RACES. . SYDNEY, July 14. At the Moorfield Park races, the Flying Welter, Second Division, resulted: Royal Duke- (9.3) 1, Nolensvolens (8.12) 2, Quince (9.5) 3. Eleven started. There was an exciting,finish. Won by half a head, with half a head between second and third. Time 1.165. Four horses cn'me down in a: smash in the Second Division of the Juvenile Handicap at Moorfield. Claredome was killed instantly. Solesoine broke a leg and ‘had to lie destroyed. Claredome was the first to fall, and the others galloped over it. The jockey Berminghnm was sent to the hospital, hut h,is injuries are not serious. The other riders were unhurt.
