REQUEST FOR UTILISATION. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright). LONDON, July 11. Protesting that the enormous sum of £392,292, subscribed by the public for the purchase of radium as a thanks-oflering for the King’s recovery, is stilt lying- idle, the “Daily Mail’s” medical correspondent points out that it would suffice to equip thirty-four centres throughout the country with enough radium to treat urgent cases of cancer which remain untreated, owing to the lack of radium. He states that no orders for radium have yet been placed.
