CANADIAN VIEWS. (Per Press Association —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright). (Received this da.v at 9.25 a.m.) VANCOUVER, July 10. Canada has always been favourably • disposed towards the joint discussion of the problems of mutual interest to the nations of the Empire and wil undoubtedly consider favourably any suggestion from Great Britain for an Economic Imperial Conference. The Finance Minister, Mr Robb, declared to-day: “ While I am out of touch with Ottawa and unaware of Chancellor Snowden’s invitation for an .economic Conference, I believe in the usefulness of such . gatherings and would approve.” - The Minister expressed surprise at the reported declaration by Mr ‘Snowden against preferential tariff policies as existing within the Empire. Canada always approved of the preferential trade system and the benefits to Canada and the Empire as a whole has been great.
