Officers of the “ Eagle ” were to-day presented with the Order of Naval Merit, in recognition of the rescue of Franco and party. The Minister of Marine made the presentations in the presence of General De Rivera, members of the Cabinet, Generals, Admirals, airmen and British representativesGeneral De Rivera later, attended a. luncheon in the rescuers honour at which the healths of King George and King Alphonso were drunk.
A RECORD FLY. SYDNEY, July 7. The Sydney to Brisbane flight record was broken by P'ilot McCausland in a Ryan monoplane, which flew the journey in three hours fifty minutes.
